Victor & Valentino gain a newfound respect for cleanliness after Chata’s house traps them inside its labyrinth of ancient, magical walls.

Tropes:

  • Cassandra Truth: With their mission accomplished, the boys are released from the house’s secret passageways. They try to tell Chata that her house is magic, but she thinks they’re just being silly and brushes them off.
  • Here We Go Again!: Exhausted from their adventure, Victor throws off his shoes and plops down on his bed. The house rumbles angrily and he hastily puts them in the closet where they belong.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: Both of the boys are forced to give up things they like in order to save themselves, most notably Victor’s Companion Cube, Selena, a sticky, used jawbreaker.
  • Kids Hate Chores: Chata asks her grandsons to clean their disaster of a room, but the boys do just about everything they can to avoid doing chores.
  • Mundane Made Awesome: This episode takes something as boring as cleaning up around the house and turns it into a video game.
  • Sapient House: Chata’s house is revealed to be one, growing angry at Victor and Valentino for failing to clean their room and trapping them in a video game-like maze until they learn their lesson.
  • Sudden Video-Game Moment: The episode turns into this when the house swallows the boys up and makes them complete cleaning side quests to escape.
  • Talking in Your Sleep: The episode starts with Victor sprawled out on a pile of junk covering his bed and mumbling in his sleep.
  • Trash of the Titans: Both of the boys have problems with cleanliness in this episode: Victor is a Pig Pen that enjoys stewing in his own filth and Valentino is a “collector” (i.e. hoarder) who can’t throw anything away.
