Tropes:

  • Bad Future: Anno Un's vision of the future given to him by G-Liner revealed that Fuuko gets killed by Sean during the Autumn fight, with her death ultimately causing the end of the Union because it leads to Victor killing Juiz and any hope of killing God. His efforts are in fact to prevent this from happening and Andy is able to avert it by using the newly learned Deadline to kill Sean before he can stab Fuuko.
  • Big Bad Ensemble: Rather than one clear Arc Villain, this arc features multiple antagonists that are all working to their own ends. Namely, there's UMA Autumn, who Fuuko and Andy must capture as part of a quest, a small group of Under members, who are also looking to complete said quest themselves, and Victor, who clashes with Fuuko and Andy while Fuuko is exploring Andy's memories in an attempt to usurp Andy for control of their body.
  • Enemy Mine: Rip and the remaining Under members with him end up teaming up with Fuuko and Andy in order to take down UMA Autumn, due to neither being able to pull it off on their own.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: Anno Un sacrifices his avatar, his only means of communication with the outside world, to restore Rip to his adult state and defeat UMA Autumn.
  • Love Epiphany: While within Andy's memories Fuuko and the past version of Andy almost kiss but she pulls away saying that she "loves him, but not him". It takes her a second to realise that she has fallen in love with the Andy of the present time, strengthening their bond in the process.
  • Journey to the Center of the Mind: Anno Un's training for Fuuko and Andy is this. Fuuko is sent to explore Andy's memories in order to learn more about Andy's past, which will strengthen their bond and, by proxy, their powers. However, Victor learns about this and tries to push Fuuko out by repeatable killing her so that she fails to learn anything and, eventually, ceases to exist. Fortunately, Andy comes through and helps Fuuko defeat Victor, which also reveals more about Victor's past and motivations as well.
  • Mercy Kill: Victor is revealed to be operating under this, which is why he's so dead set on killing Juiz; he doesn't want the woman he loves to endure another cycle of failed attempts to bring down God.
  • Time to Unlock More True Potential: After their strongest attacks fail to even scratch UMA Autumn, Fuuko and Andy are forced to train with Anno Un in order to grow stronger.
  • What Could Have Been: Invoked in-universe. Fuuko and Andy's training involves Fuuko going into Andy's mind and entering his past through there, creating an alternate set of memories for him where the two met far earlier on, with Anno noting that while they won't replace Andy's original memories, the new past he experienced as a 'what if' scenario will stick with him and strengthen his heart. However, Victor learns of this and tries to erase Fuuko by repeatably killing her.
