30F - Workshop Battle: Archimedes

    Season 2: Ch. 66 (Chapter 145)

The first day after the Archimedes airship started moving, the hosts of the Workshop Battle, Io and Punk, discuss within the ship's control room how the tournament's going to go. The two hosts are then greeted by High Ranker Madorako, a genius businessman who helped raise enough funds for Workshop's research due to the amount of potential Regulars who have appeared amongst the E-ranks. Io and Punk express concern about the Great Teacher finding out about what they're doing, but Madorako asks that they both trust him as he's about to show off the greatest Workshop Battle ever. After Madorako leaves, Io and Punk question if the shady businessman they teamed up with can be trusted, but they agree that nothing will go wrong as long as they finish developing Emily. Meanwhile, Madorako meets with his Ranker bodyguards to order them to send word to their merchant contact that "it's" almost in their possession.

At the Archimedes pool, the E-rank Regulars that passed One Shot, One Opportunity are all seen having a great time. Here, Shibisu exchanges pleasantries with a female Regular named Ron Mei, the teammate of the person considered to be the strongest E-rank Regular, Yama's Mad Dog. They discuss Team Shibisu's attack on the FUG Team, which Shibisu's left concerned about the state of his team due to Hatz losing his sword, and Aleksai being out cold. Meanwhile, Endorsi gets interviewed about how she got the extra 249th ticket to get onto the Archimedes; explaining that it's because she not only was rewarded for capturing an intruder, but shot the game's Bong Bong fairy.

Upon spotting Viole and his FUG Team walking by the pool, Endorsi decides to end the interview, and heads off to the Archimedes jail room to visit the intruder she caught. Greeting Traveller at his jail cell, Endorsi asks if if he knows anything else about Bam. However, Traveller states that the only thing he knows is that Viole had called himself 25th Bam, which disappoints her. Before leaving, Traveller begs the Jahad Princess to let him out, or else Emily will die. Endorsi finds it to be nonsense believing that Emily's just a machine everyone talks to on their handheld terminals, but Traveller assures her that Emily is actually a live person somewhere on the Archimedes. Meanwhile at the Archimedes dorm for Khun's Sweet-and-Sour team, Wangnan watches as Khun is seen having a reunion chat with his past alligator teammate, Rak Wraithraiser.

    Season 2: Ch. 67 (Chapter 146)

Khun remains confused as to how Rak knew he would be here. In return, Rak reveals that a red turtle (implied to be Hwaryun) had told him everything. Khun remains bewildered as to why the Guide told Rak everything when his mission to free Bam's supposed to be a secret, which he then asks for Wangnan to leave him to have some alone time with his old alligator friend. Wangnan accepts it, and leaves Khun alone with Rak. Khun then asks what the alligator knows, which Rak answers that he knows everything regarding the Hand of Arlene incident; including Khun's team with Rachel falling apart, and that Bam's alive. Khun however remains hesitant to speak back, which leaves Rak confused.

Wangnan heads off to the Archimedes dining room to eat with several members in Sweet-and-Sour (Ehwa, Akraptor, and Goseng), which they discuss the appearance of Khun's friend. Dan is with them, as well as Blarode and Quaetro, who had been assigned the same Archimedes dorm room. Their meal is interrupted due to Khun and Rak breaking out into a fight over how to save Bam, much to everyone's shock that Khun's actually getting roughed up by someone. Khun claims that they can't do anything currently since Bam is trapped within FUG, and that they have to worry about the Jahad Empire finding out about his survival. However, Rak counters that Khun hasn't changed. That Khun still overthinks things, and is afraid of losing everything to the point of being unable to decide on what he wants to do. Not wanting to believe it, Khun leaves the room.

After the fight, Wangnan speaks with Khun in private. Wangnan states how obvious it is that Khun's close to Rak, but also points out that he realized how different he and Khun are. That Wangnan would do anything to stand alongside a friend while Khun tries to take all the burdens away from his friends to continue being with them. Khun replies that it's always been a habit of his.

Meanwhile, Rak is left throwing a tantrum after not being able to convince Khun. Ehwa tries to cheer him up, but ends up burning him in anger when Rak throws away her blue jelly that reminds him of Khun. Dan is the next to speak to Rak, who informs the alligator that he had heard the stories about how he had been shaken up about what happened on the Floor of Tests. He informs Rak that Khun sees his original team on the 2nd Floor as the best time of his life considering Khun's suffocating life when he was living with the Khun Family before he was summoned into the inner Tower. Afterwards, Ehwa and Quaetro chase after Rak wanting a picture with the "dino-alligator."

Escaping Ehwa and Quaetro, Rak meets with Khun in private again. Khun orders him away if he's just here to apologize about earlier, but Rak states that he became happy upon hearing that Khun and Bam were still alive. Rak points out that he wants to continue being happy, but it's not going to happen with Khun's current state of worrying about everything, and not doing anything to change that. Upon hearing that, Khun finally has the resolve. He tells Rak that he will be more evil than the bastards at FUG in order to bring Bam back, which excites Rak seeing him acting like his old self again. At that same time, Viole's seen looking out at the sky from his Archimedes dorm room.

Elsewhere on the Archimedes, Hatz arrives at the item shop of the Archimedes. Having been convinced by Shibisu that it's time to move on from his old sentimental sword since it was destroyed by Cassano during One Shot, One Opportunity, Hatz is at the item shop to pick out a new sword. Shibisu had also handed Hatz an Emily terminal to help with the search, which Hatz asks it for a "sword to stab a devil." Instead of an item shop however, Emily sends him off to a place called the Acorn Workshop. The Arm Devils, Cassano and Horyang, are also seen walking together here.

    Season 2: Ch. 68 (Chapter 147)

Following her talk with Traveller, Endorsi spends the night thinking it over if what he said about Emily is true. That Emily, the girl Traveller loves, is a human trapped within the Acorn Workshop, which Traveller begged Endorsi to go there and save her. However, Endorsi ignores it for now since she has other issues to worry about other than dealing with someone else's love life.

At the Acorn Workshop, Hatz is unable to enter. He then goes to hide after seeing Cassano and Horyang get closer, which Hatz sees that they're able to open the door for the Acorn Workshop, and then sneaks in after them. As they walk, Horyang continues to complain about Cassano not telling him anything, but Cassano just tells him to hold out for now so that Horyang finds it out himself, which results in a reunion with the Workshop researcher, Sophia. Hatz then follows after the two Arm Devils to a room in the Acorn Workshop where he spies on their tearful reunion with Sophia. Before Hatz could do anything further however, he's suddenly caught by a boy in bandages, and is unable to fight him due to not having his sword. The Arm Devils notice the commotion, which results in Hatz getting cuffed, and Cassano throwing him into a locked room until the Workshop Battle is over.

Afterwards, Sophia introduces Horyang and Cassano to the bandage boy as someone named Beta, who is technically a brother to the two Devil Arms. However, Beta leaves them claiming that he's not interested in halves. Sophia then leads Horyang and Cassano to a facility in the Acorn Workshop where she reveals to them what she's been working on. The two Devil Arms see a giant egg-shaped machine called Emily, which Sophia explains to be a weapon that will bring a new wave to the Tower. Nearby, the Acorn Workshop guards are seen changing shifts as the one departing is revealed to be Lero-Ro; having infiltrated the Archimedes. The next day, Io and Punk are seen standing on a platform in the middle of the Archimedes' Grand Stadium. They announce that the Workshop Battle will now begin.

Long Summary

Io (left) and Punk (right) discuss how the Workshop Battle is going to play out

One day has passed since the E-rank Regulars were summoned up to the Archimedes after completing the One Shot, One Opportunity game. The floating airship that is set to house the Workshop battle is currently flying around the skies of the 30th Floor.

On the bridge of the Archimedes are two people that are going to be the hosts of the Workshop Battle, Io and Punk. The two are seen discussing how the current weather is looking good, and that their approach to the Workshop Battle so far has made for great marketing. The red-masked Punk asks the blue-masked Io who would win in a fight between the Blood Tamara and the White Heavenly Mirror, which Io answers that while he believes that the White Heavenly Mirror will come out the winner, he still hopes to see the two items fighting against one another at some point in the tournament.

One of the hosts looks down at a high number stat, and is amazed to see that they've been funded this much money for the Workshop, and states that Madorako is indeed a genius businessman. Nearby, this businessman known as High Ranker Madorako is seen greeting Io and Punk on the bridge.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc32_02.jpg
The genius businessman and sponsor of Workshop, High Ranker Madorako

The Ranker points out that even though this is only the 30th Floor for low-level E-rank Regulars, the money was easy to gather due to the number of E-rankers participating that have shown to have potential to one day make a name in the Tower. Some of these people include the following: FUG's new Slayer Candidate, Viole, a Jahad Princess, Endorsi, and Baylord Yama's Mad Dog, who is considered the strongest E-rank Regular.

Madorako points how that such excellent names made for great advertising to bring in loads of funding. The Ranker also adds that the money doesn't stop here since the audience that is going to show up to see the E-rankers in action are going be betting on the games. Madorako states that betting can lead to a very high result, and that Io and Punk are set to make hundreds of times more cash than they already received from the original funding.

Punk expresses worry to Madorako that their Great Teacher will find out about this, but the businessman Ranker reassures the host that what goes on inside the Archimedes won't be leaked to the outside. He also states that even if a leak somehow got out, no one will blame them as long as they finish the research by the end of the tournament. Madorako reassures Io and Punk not to worry, and to put their trust in him to make this the greatest Workshop Battle show ever. The Ranker reminds Io and Punk that this is all for their research as the High Ranker takes his leave with his bodyguards following right after Madorako.

Looking at a security camera of Madorako's group leaving, Punk remains worried if they can truly trust him given that despite the Ranker's cred as a genius businessman, he's heard rumors that Madorako works for someone dangerous. Io asks if that really matters to them since they just need to get the research done with the money Madorako provided. The blue host reminds Punk that it's all over once they finish Emily, which Punk agrees with. The two then give off an evil sounding laugh. As Madorako continues to walk away with his bodyguards, the businessman Ranker orders one of them to inform the merchant that it will come to them, which the bodyguard agrees to do.

E-rank Regulars enjoying life aboard the Archimedes airship

Looking down at the E-rank Regulars playing in the Archimedes pool, Madorako points out that they look to be having fun, and notes that playing in the water can help people grow to be healthy. He leaves off stating that he's looking forward to the party tomorrow.

Switching to the Regulars within the water pool of the Archimedes' 2nd Floor, an announcement is made from Io and Punk welcoming the 249 Regulars that were summoned up to Workshop. The hosts go over what the Archimedes can provide for them such as luxury rooms, restaurants on the 1st Floor, a game room on the 2nd Floor, and an item store on the 3rd Floor. Apart from the 3rd Floor item store, everything else is free for the E-rank Regulars. The hosts ask for the Regulars not to miss the party tomorrow that will go down before the start of the Workshop tournament, and leave off hoping that they enjoy their experience on the Archimedes.

Shibisu is seen relaxing in a pool chair as he looks out at the beautiful playing in the pool; admitting to himself that this is heaven. At this point, Anaak, and another E-rank Regular named Ron Mei, approach Shibisu. The latter of which points points out to Anaak that Shibisu is staring at girls with his perverted eyes.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc32_04.jpg
Shibisu realizes that Ron Mei is here with the strongest E-rank Regular

Anaak begins to kick at Shibisu claiming that he shouldn't be relaxing after his plan messed their team up in One Shot, One Opportunity, which causes Shibisu to beg her to stop since Anaak's kicks hurt. Watching the two, Ron laughs, and points out that Shibisu and Anaak seem to get along well together, which angers Shibisu, who finds it hard to believe that getting kicked is considered getting along with one another.

Switching the subject, Ran tells Shibisu that she's happy to see him here. However, Shibisu replies that he's not glad to see her since it means that the Regular considered to be the strongest E-rank will be here as well, which causes Ron to chuckle. Lauroe is seen sleeping nearby as Ron notes that she heard about Team Shibisu's fight against Team FUG. She asks how her fight with the Slayer Candidate, Viole, went. Shibisu answers that they obviously lost, which Ron replies that, at the very least, they all got out alive and well. However, Shibisu is left thinking to himself that they didn't make it out scratch free given that Hatz's sword was destroyed, and Aleksai got knocked out cold.

Changing the subject again, Ron states that she also heard about Princess Endorsi's amazing feat catching an intruder during One Shot, One Opportunity. She wishes to know more details about it, but Shibisu informs her that they don't exactly know about it themselves given that they're rarely ever able to properly talk to her despite being a team. Looking up at a television screen showing off Endorsi, Ron admits that to be the case given that she's such a celebrity. Ron points that it's probably easier learning about her from the news, which Shibisu agrees with.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc32_05.jpg
Endorsi gets interviewed to explain how she got the extra Archimedes ticket

Switching to Endorsi, a news crew is currently having an interview with her. The reporter asks if the rumor is true that she got a bonus ticket for catching the intruder that was trying to break into the Archimedes during One Shot, One Opportunity, which Endorsi answers that that wasn't the case. She explains that while she did find the intruder that was being chased by the Workshop patrols, the tickets were all gone by that point. The reporters ask how she managed to get on the Archimedes then, which Endorsi answers that she was lucky to come across the Bong Bong fairy near the spot she caught the intruder, and shooting it gave her the extra ticket to get summoned up to the Archimedes.

Endorsi further explains that while it went against the rules getting a 249th ticket when there was supposed to only be 248, the people of Workshop rewarded her anyway for catching the intruder, and being the one that hit the Bong Bong fairy just further cemented her possibly getting an extra ticket. The reporters admit that Endorsi is amazing for being able pull this off, but Endorsi turns around to end the interview stating that she's now tired. Endorsi looks down at the pool as she and the reporter crew notice Viole, and his FUG team, walking amongst the crowd. The reporter point out to Endorsi how this is the first time the Slayer Candidate is being seen out in the open after the E-rank Regulars were summoned up to the Archimedes.

    Endorsi and Traveller

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc32_06.jpg
Endorsi spots Viole amongst the crowd

Upon closer look at Viole, the reporter admits that the aura the FUG Slayer is given off feels incredible, and that he somehow got the two Arm Devils (Horyang and Cassano) to be a part of his Workshop team. The reporter notes that just the sight of Viole gives him goosebumps since it's like looking at a real devil. However, Endorsi remains silent looking down on the FUG Slayer since she's starting to suspect that Viole is Bam.

The reporter turns back to Endorsi to inform her that everyone is looking forward to seeing her and Viole battle it out. He asks who she believes will win in a fight between the Jahad Princess and the Slayer Candidate, but Endorsi reminds him that she's already stated that she's done with the interview. The reporter remains confused as Endorsi orders him to stop following, and walks away.

On her own now, Endorsi walks to the jail area of the Archimedes. She's greeted by two Workshop patrols, who order her to turn around since going into the jail is forbidden. However, Endorsi reminds them that she was the one who caught the intruder in the first place, and has the Jahad Princess status to do what she wants. A voice is heard from one of the patrol's radios telling them that her Princess status is legit, and asks that the robots let her through, which they do. Walking through the jail area, Endorsi realizes that she's walking beyond more than one jail-cell for many intruders, and questions what's so special about this ship that would have so many people trying to break into it.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc32_07.jpg
Endorsi confronts the captured Traveller about his claim that Viole is Bam

Endorsi reaches Travellers jail-cell, who notices that the Jahad Princess has come to visit him. Traveller complains to Endorsi how she could throw him in jail to get an extra Archimedes ticket, and questions if Endorsi truly has it in her to be a Jahad Princess. However, Endorsi replies that it's his own fault for being an intruder.

Getting to the main subject, Endorsi asks Traveller if he meant what he said when he shouted at her that Viole is 25th Bam. Traveller answers that it's not something easy to forget given how unusual the name sounded. She asks if he knows anything else, but Traveller answers that he doesn't since he and Bam had only just met at the time.

Realizing that he's telling the truth about not knowing much, Endorsi gives of a disappointing sigh, and turns around to leave the jail. Traveller calls out to her begging her to stop, which Endorsi asks why should she. He answers that if he doesn't get out of here, Emily will die, which grabs Endorsi's attention. Looking back at Traveller, Endorsi pulls out her Emily terminal, and asks if he's referring to this. Traveller answers that to be the case, but Endorsi finds his answer nonsense since Emily is just a machine. However, Traveller states that Emily is definitely a human being, and that she's alive somewhere on this ship.

    Khun and Rak Reunion

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc32_08.jpg
Finally reuniting, Rak informs Khun that Hwaryun told him everything

In their Archimedes room, Khun and Rak sit opposite their visitor. A confused Wangnan asks Khun if the crocodile before them is a friend, which a stressed Khun asks that Wangnan not speak of it since his head hurts regarding this.

A loud voice orders the Wangnan curry turtle to not get cocky calling him a crocodile, which confuses Wangnan even further as to why he's being called a curry turtle. Khun holds his head in more pain unable to believe that he's now hearing this again as a small crocodile sits before them introducing himself as Rak Wraithraiser.

Khun asks how Rak managed to get here, to which the alligator answers that he was told by the red turtle moments before the Hand of Arlene incident happened, and was tasked by her to meet Khun at Workshop to help him. Khun deduces in his head that it was highly likely that the red turtle was Hwaryun, but questions why she gets to tell others while he has to keep this all a secret.

Wangnan interrupts his thoughts asking if Khun knows the alligator is speaking to them, but Khun answers that he would like some alone time with Rak, which causes Wangnan to leave the room. Khun gets straight to the point asking Rak how much he knows, to which the alligator answers that he not only knows what Rachel did to Khun's team during the Hand of Arlene incident, but that the black turtle, Bam, is alive. Seeing Khun unable to speak, Rak asks why the blue turtle is keeping quiet about this.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc32_09.jpg
Wangnan realizes that Blarode and Quaetro got the same room as his team

After leaving Khun's room, Wangnan heads over to a dinner table to have a meal with the other remaining Sweet and Sour members: Ehwa, Goseng, and Akraptor. Dan is also eating with them, as well as Blarode and Quaetro strangely enough. Ehwa questions Wangnan if the newcomer was actually a friend of Khun's, whick Wangnan answers that the two of them seem to go way back. Akraptor finds it unbelievable that Khun would actually have someone he would call a dear friend.

Blarode points out that if the newcomer is an old friend of Khun's, then there's no doubt that he's just as cocky. Wangnan finds it confusing as to why him and Quaetro are eating with them, which Blarode answers that he wasn't given a choice since the two of them were assigned the same room as Khun and company. The top E-ranker reassures Wangnan that he won't hurt them during this time of peace, which Wangnan finds hard to believe. Ehwa asks if the friend who's currently with Khun is a cyborg, but given that Wangnan already knows that it's the alligator, Rak, Wangnan answers that that's not the case. Suddenly, Khun comes bursting through the door to their dining room; having been knocked back by Rak. Khun gets up to a sitting position looking at Rak walking towards him.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc32_10.jpg
Rak calls out Khun for his cowardice to save Bam right away from FUG

The alligator walks into the dining room, and calls his old teammate out for not accomplishing anything in the One Shot, One Opportunity game to get Bam back. The rest of the group from the dining room watches the argument, and are amazed to see that Khun's old friend is a tiny dinosaur. Rak yells that they need to go now to save the black turtle, but Khun answers that they can't since FUG isn't going to let go of their Slayer Candidate so easily, and they also have the Jahad Empire to worry about since they currently believe that Bam is dead.

Rak punches Khun ordering him to not make things so complicated, which amazes everyone in the room that someone actually had the balls to hit the Great Family member. Khun asks if Rak is wishing to die given how trapped Bam is currently, but Rak yells that he will bring the black turtle back himself if he has to. The alligator calls out Khun that the cowardly him at the moment won't be able to do anything, and that he's still the same idiot that misses everything ever since he left to make his new team that looked after Rachel.

The last statement stuns Khun for a bit as he throws Rak across the Room into Dan, which causes Rak to yell back at him that he can beat the blue turtle in one punch. Ehwa tries to help him up, but accidentally sets the alligator on fire, which shocks everybody. Meanwhile, Wangan watches as Khun leaves the dining area.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc32_11.jpg
Khun discusses with Wangnan how he never liked losing things

A few moments later, Wangnan meets Khun in private, and points out how amazed he was to see how close him and Rak were, and that this was the first time he saw Khun showing genuine anger. Khun tries to deny that Rak was just someone he fought alongside on the Floor of Tests, but Wangnan calls him out believing that to be a lie. Wangnan explains that he's come to realize how different Khun is compared to him. Unlike Wangnan, who will do whatever he can to continue a journey with a friend, Khun is someone that can go wherever he wants, but chooses to try to do everything himself so that a friend can be with him.

Having heard Wangnan's deduction, Khun explains that it's always been a habit of his. He provides Wangnan an example of finding a jewel, and then hiding it somewhere so he doesn't lose it. However, he never got a chance to wear the jewel since he feared that he was going to lose it.

Back in the dining room, Rak is seen throwing a tantrum about Khun refusing to do what he wants. Ehwa offers the dino-alligator a piece of jelly claiming that it will calm him down, but Rak throws it on the ground in anger since the blue jelly reminds him of Khun. Ehwa becomes enraged that Rak denied her kindness, and flares up to blast the alligator with her flames.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc32_12.jpg
Dan explains to Rak that Khun enjoyed being with his original 2nd Floor team

Moments later, Rak is seen eating the jelly after getting hit by Ehwa's flames. Dan takes a seat next to him, and asks if the story is true that he and Khun fought together on the Floor of Tests, which Rak states was true, and that he, himself, was the leader. Dan points out that he heard the story about Khun and him from Ran, which confuses Rak since he doesn't know who Ran is. Dan informs the alligator that Ran's a member of the great Khun Family similar to his teammate Khun.

Dan explains to Rak that he heard the story from Ran once about why Khun has always been so obsessed about what went down during his Floor of Tests journey. Dan also brings up the time when Ran told him about Khun's life when he was still a part of the Great Family. About how Khun's mom had been obsessed with trying to gain power, so Khun always had political talk surrounding his life.

Ran continued the story that despite Khun looking like he was enjoying his life in the Great Family, it had actually been suffocating for him. So Khun chose to ruin everything about him so that he could run away from the Tower and the Great Family.

Finishing the story, Dan states that he heard that Rak was one of the first people that met Khun in the Tower, and that Khun would tell stories about how joyful it was being with his original Floor of Tests team. Rak remains silent thinking about everything Dan just told him, but is interrupted when Ehwa and Quaetro appear wanting to take a picture with the talking dinosaur-alligator. Realizing he's in trouble, Rak uses this chance to run away from the crazy flame-Regulars.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc32_13.jpg
Rak reveals that hearing about Khun and Bam being alive made him happy

Some time later, Rak meets Khun in private again. Khun orders Rak to get lost if all he's here for is to try to make up, which Rak thinks to himself that Khun is a bastard. Standing next to Khun, the two of them look out at the sky above the Archimedes. Rak admits that he was happy when he found out that the black turtle was alive, and that he was going to get a chance to see Khun, the blue turtle, again if he was to come here. The alligator also mentions that it made him happy thinking the three of them would be able to climb the Tower again.

Turning back around to leave, Rak points out that upon seeing Khun's current state, he's realized that he was the only one thinking this way. That the current Khun has some mental disorder that has made him a timid, egotistic, and fussy turtle that always has to worry before doing anything. Khun asks Rak once more if he's here to fight, but Rak states that all he wanted was to be happy together with the blue and black turtles. Rak begins to leave, but Khun calls out to him that now's not the time to be happy. Rak looks back at him in surprise as Khun explains that he won't be happy until they retrieve Bam and the winning prize away from FUG.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc32_14.jpg
Khun announces to Rak that he will be more evil than FUG to bring Bam back

Khun asks for Rak to feel the same way until they knock out the people from FUG, which excites the alligator seeing his past teammate acting like his old self. Khun attempts to deny that he hasn't been hesitating at all, but he orders for Rak to look forward to the tournament tomorrow. He claims to Rak that he will be more cunning and evil than FUG in order to bring Bam back. Meanwhile, Viole is seen looking out at the sky from the Archimedes room that was provided to the FUG Team.

Elsewhere, Hatz arrives at the Archimedes item store on the ship's 3rd Floor. Holding an Emily terminal in his hand, Hatz remains confused as to how this is supposed to help him.

Hatz thinks back to when Shibisu handed an Emily terminal over to him back at their room. Shibisu explains that the chatting robot is famous amongst the Regulars these days, and that Emily will answer whatever is asked of it. Shibisu figures that Hatz could perhaps use it to help him pick out a new sword, which Hatz tries to deny that he doesn't need one. However, Shibisu points out that despite knowing how attached Hatz was to the sword, it's still a broken weapon that can't be used anymore. He asks for Shibisu to finally let go of that broken sword, which leaves Hatz silent.

    The Acorn Workshop

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc32_15.jpg
Hatz comes across the Acorn Workshop during his search for a new sword

Back to the present, Hatz ends up walking down a 3rd Floor Archimedes tunnel unable to find the item shop. He ends up at an entrance to a place called the Acorn Workshop, and wonders if said place will have a sword that's strong enough to stab a devil. Hatz remains confused thinking that the Acorn Workshop looks like some sort of restaurant as the Arm Devils, Horyang and Cassano, are seen walking nearby completely unnoticed by Hatz.

Meanwhile, Endorsi is seen messaging Emily what's up, which Emily answers that the chatting bot is having breathing exercises, and on a diet in order to one day get a boyfriend. She thinks about what Traveller told her if Emily truly is someone that's alive on the ship.

Endorsi flashes back to when she was standing in front of Traveller's prison. Traveller explains what he means by Emily being a real person that could die soon. Endorsi remains confused by the statement, which Traveller answers that the researchers of Workshop are planning to turn Emily into a terrifying weapon. Endorsi questions if Traveller truly thinks that she will believe that, but he begs her to trust him that Emily's life really is in danger. Traveller points out that he was lonely never having a family, but that all changed when Emily gave him hope to live as the savior of his life. He begs Endorsi to head to the Acorn Workshop within the Archimedes, and save Emily before the Workshop Battle is over.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc32_16.jpg
Hatz spots the Arm Devils, Horyang and Cassano, entering the Acorn Workshop

Back to the present, Endorsi next asks where Emily lives, to which the chatting bot answers that she lives in Endorsi's heart. Endorsi thinks back to what Traveller told her about the Acorn Workshop, but states to herself that she has no time to get involved with other people's love stories.

Back to Hatz, the swordsman Regular arrives at the gate of the Acorn Workshop. He presses the doorbell multiple times, but remains outside confused as to why no one's coming to answer. Believing the place to be closed for the time being, Hatz figures that he should probably go back, but his attention is brought to Cassano and Horyang walking nearby. The Arm Devils continue to approach the Acorn Workshop door as Hatz uses the little time he has left to find a hiding spot.

Looking at Cassano and Horyang from his hiding spot, Hatz questions to himself why they're here. Hatz sees Cassano press the doorbell, but this time, sees the door open for the Arm Devils. Cassano and Horyang enter, and walk down a staircase to the Acorn Workshop with Hatz following close behind. As the two Arm Devils walk down the staircase, Horyang questions Cassano if what he said was true about Researcher Sophia being here. Horyang complains that Cassano has been keeping quiet ever since the Hand of Arlene incident.

Horyang's tearful reunion with Sophia

He then questions him once more why he's a part of FUG, but Cassano answers that he found out for himself, which confuses Horyang. Cassano reaches another closed door, and opens it for him and Horyang. To Horyang's surprise, he sees Researcher Sophia waiting for them in the room. Upon seeing Horyang, Sophia greets him using the name she gave him, Ilmar.

Horyang flashes back to a time when he was with Researcher Sophia during Workshop's Living Ignition Weapon experiments. Seeing Ilmar crying, Sophia pats his head, and tells him that a man shouldn't be showing his tears. Sophia states that Ilmar should have the power strong enough to protect others, which Ilmar agrees that he does. She asks Ilmar if there's anyone he wishes to protect, which causes Ilmar to struggle to say an answer.

Back to the present, a shocked Horyang continues to stand before Sophia, who asks why Ilmar is continuing to just stand there. Unable to believe what he's seeing, Horyang runs into the room, and gives Sophia a hug. Ilmar states that he's really missed her, which Sophia replies that he's gotten a lot bigger since she last saw him, and that his voice has deepened. Seeing Horyang break down into tears, she also points out that he's still a cry-baby.

Horyang falls to his knees as Sophia gives him a hug in return stating that it's been a long time. Cassano remains off on the side in silence watching the reunion between Sophia and Ilmar. From outside the room, Hatz is seen behind a wall spying on the reunion between Sophia and the Devil Arms. He remains confused about the current event wondering why Cassano and Horyang are connected to a researcher woman that's a part of the Acorn Workshop.

Hatz gets caught by Beta, an experiment of the Acorn Workshop

Hatz comes to the conclusion that the Arm Devils being here at the Workshop are somehow connected, and believes that searching around here may provide him the answer as to how Cassano and Horyang got their powers. Before he could get moving however, Hatz is greeted by a boy in bandages connected to a perfusion stand, and calls Hatz a peeping tom. The bandage boy asks if Hatz's having a fun time, which causes the swordsman Regular to react.

Hatz gets up ready to face the bandage boy. His first instinct is to go for his sword, but suddenly realizes that he doesn't have the weapon anymore. The bandage boy questions if Hatz is trying to play with him, but before he could act against Hatz, they're greeted by Cassano and Horyang, who had heard their commotion. It's at this point that Hatz realizes that he messed up.

Moments later, Hatz gets his arms cuffed behind his back, and is thrown into an emepy room within the Acorn Workshop. Cassano informs Hatz that while he doesn't know how he got in here, he will remain here until the Workshop Battle is over. Hatz orders the Devil of the Right Arm to tell him what they're planning here, but Cassano shuts the door, and locks it; leaving Hatz banging on the door yelling at Cassano to open it up. Cassano returns to Horyang and Sophia, and is surprised to see the bandage boy now hanging out with them.

Sophia shows off Acorn Workshop's Emily experiment to Horyang and Cassano

Sophia introduces the boy to Ilmar and Cassano as Beta, but he begins to walk away saying that he's not interested in halves. Seeing Beta ignore them, Sophia apologizes to the Arm Devils for his actions. She explains that Beta is a shy boy that's been living in the lab, and that he's technically Ilmar and Cassano's brother. Horyang is left surprised hearing that he has a brother as Sophia asks Ilmar and Cassano to follow her to show them her research.

Going down an elevator, Horyang and Cassano follow Sophia to a giant facility of the Acorn Workshop within the Archimedes. Surprised by the size of it, Horyang looks around wondering what the Archimedes researchers are doing here. Behind them is a guard heard saying to himself that it's almost time for him to change shifts. Reaching a giant white egg-shaped object that has Emily written on it, Sophia asks that they look upon it as this is the weapon she has been working on here. Cassano and Horyang look at it in shock as Sophia explains that it's a weapon called Emily. The researcher states that once Emily wakes up, it will bring about a new wave that will shake the Tower. Inside the egg-shaped object, they hear a voice continuously saying the phrase, I love you, over and over.

Lero-Ro revealed to be posing as a guard in the Acorn Workshop

At the elevator of the facility for Emily, the guards are seen changing shifts. The previous guard enters the elevator, and takes off his helmet; revealing himself to be Lero-Ro, the former Test Administrator Ranker from the Floor of Tests. Within the elevator, Lero-Ro gives off a sigh of relief having not been caught yet, and looks back into the Acorn Workshop.

The next day, the Workshop tournament is about to get underway atop the Archimedes. Known as the 4th Floor's Grand Stadium, a giant pool arena is seen with a small white platform where the Workshop hosts, Io and Punk, are seen standing on it. They apologize for keeping everyone waiting, and announce to everyone watching that the Workshop Battle will now begin.
