Brent Hayden. To some he’s the darling of the alt-right, to others he's a far-left crusader. A lot of people watch his videos, hang off his every word. Crisis actors? Conspiracies? Black Ops? Brent knows you deserve the truth. And Brent's come to Cardiff, because he's going to expose Torchwood. Don't forget to Like and Subscribe.

Tyler meets with Brent Hayden, a racist, homophobic, political conspiracy Youtuber, and they discuss bringing down Torchwood. Sometime later they arrive at Brent's house, and go to Brent's basement, where he runs his Youtube channel. Brent is convinced of all of the conspiracies of the world, and thinks that he is so important that Torchwood is coming to kill him. He imagines them violently killing him and his mother. He is in fact, in case you haven't figured out yet, not that important at all, but his few hundred subscribers are going to his head. Brent loses his temper when Tyler is sarcastic per usual, and then has another imagination scene where he imagines overly American hysterically overacting John Barrowman talking with attractive woman "Core" (Orr) about how to kill him. Brent makes a video about Torchwood, which Tyler criticizes, but due to Brent being in his own little world, he thinks Tyler is praising him about how perfect and wonderful he is. Brent's next video is on a blurry picture of a Weevil, which he calls a "Werevil," and the following one is on the Sorvix, whom he denounces, thanks to Tyler, as "chaos actors," and that aliens don't exist and are inventions of the government to hide their illicit operations. Brent doesn't even realize that he's met the Sorvix before - there's a flashback of him beating a homeless Sorvix to death in an alley. He now dreams about Yvonne (who in his imagination is a demure secretary), Ng (largely unchanged) and Imagination!Jack chasing him with guns through the streets of Cardiff, before "Core" switches sides and is shot, confessing her love for the perfect man which is Brent Hayden. He imagines himself then easily beating Jack to death - but his mother wakes him up. He cries to his mother about how few subscribers he has, but his mother supports him lovingly, saying it's not the number of people who like him, but that he is liked by people that matters. Brent dismisses this, going out and getting drunk before talking to our dear mysterious mourner from episode one. Making a wish about wanting more subscribers, in a matter of hours his views are skyrocketing. There's a flashback of Brent meeting Mr. Colchester when he was alive, whom Brent calls an "loyal informant" when in fact he can't stand him and they talked for five seconds. After the Sorvix leave, Tyler tells Brent that he was the one to scare them off, furthering his ego. There's another Imagine Spot where Jack and Yvonne have a... charged conversation on how much they hate Brent. Finally, Brent makes a video on how Mr. Colchester was killed by Torchwood, and an angry Tyler meets up with him, telling him this is the last straw, and he uploads illicit images to Brent's computer and calls the police, leaving Brent a screaming wreck insisting he is "special" as the police arrest him.

Tropes:

  • Bizarro Episode: This episode takes place entirely unrelated to the ongoing plot minus a minor appearance from God, most of the episode revolving around a side character's fantasies of what the world is like, as well as numerous flashbacks.

  • Imagine Spot: The episode is utterly scattered with these, Brent's fantasy's taking up about half the runtime.

  • Mary Sue: What Brent sees himself as.

  • Kick the Dog: Brent beats an innocent homeless Sorvix to death in the alley.

  • Large Ham: You have never experienced more Large Ham than John Barrowman in this episode. You simply have not.
