Otomi creates an ice construct that cushions their fall somewhat. Discius approaches and demands the magic stone back. Sekai freezes time and says he wins. Then he notices the magic stone is floating in the air. He unfreezes time, but it is still floating. He asks Otomi to retrieve it, but she says making the ice construct drained her power. She says a long-lasting gravity spell was cast on the magic stone and asks what happened to Discius, so Sekai reveals he tied him up, blindfolded him, and stuck a ball gag in his mouth. Otomi uses the last of her power to freeze him in ice.
Fury approaches and says she will arrest him. She promises to testify everything that happened so that the council will decide his fate. Sekai says all he has to do now is go back to the future. Fury asks him where and when they met in the future, saying she wants to meet him. He blushes.
The timer has roughly 35 hours left. Sekai and Otomi go back to her cabin. He realizes that if he dies, he'll go back to the present but the past will not change, so he needs a new plan. He gets an idea and freezes time to take Otomi to the tower and bathhouse that held the cockatrice, correctly guessing that the elf village was near Belltree. He unfreezes time and Otomi is bewildered by her new surroundings. He explains that he will let the cockatrice petrify him, then Otomi must keep him safe for a year until his past self kills it and undoes the petrification. He freezes time, summons Gankichi, then ascends to the top of the tower where the cockatrice is. He explains to Gankichi that as soon as he gets petrified, it must immediately escape with him and bring him to Otomi. He imagines it will be complicated if there are two of him running around, but he can't think of a better plan. He unfreezes time.
Some time later, he is freed from petrification. Otomi says she cannot believe he actually revived on the day he said he would. He asks where they are and she says the place where the elf village used to be. He turns around and is horrified to see an enormous crater. Not only that, the timer says -7566 hours. Suddenly, the fireworks and STAGE CLEAR message appears and the timer resets to three days. Otomi is confused by the fireworks. Sekai realizes his past self and companions are at the tower and wonders if he failed to save Lucille. He asks what happened to the village and Otomi tells him to look up. It has become a Floating Continent, but Discius walks free. He asks her to take him up there.
