The Fat Controller brings Diesel to help out Fergus at the Cement Works for a while, but Diesel becomes annoyed with him advising on his work. Later on, Diesel tells a lie to Fergus that the Fat Controller will send him to work at the Smelter's Yard. When Fergus arrives, 'Arry and Bert frighten the traction engine and he runs away. The Fat Controller receives a call that Fergus ran away, so he sends Thomas to look for him. Will Thomas find him in time?

  • Bullying a Dragon: Fergus tries ordering Diesel around when he comes to help at the Cement Works. This causes trouble for him when Diesel decides to get back at him by lying that he has to go and work at the Smelter's Yard.
  • Control Freak: Fergus orders Diesel about while he comes to help at the Cement Works as he doesn't believe his work is up to his standards.
  • Jerkass: Diesel, 'Arry, and Bert all pick on Fergus, frightening the poor traction engine.
  • Manipulative Bastard: Diesel pretends that the Fat Controller thought he was better than Fergus and informs the traction engine that he'll be "sent" to work at the scrapyard. Diesel's trick works like a charm with Fergus heading over to the Smelter's Yard and getting scared away by 'Arry and Bert.
  • Offscreen Karma: At the end of the episode, the Fat Controller informs Fergus that Diesel will be sent to work at the Smelter's Yard as punishment for his trick.
