Thomas has to take a Christmas tree to the mountain village with Toby and is very angry when he has to wear his old snowplow. During the journey to take the village, he hits a rock on the track, causing his snowplow to fly off to the side and knock down a water tower. Thomas' driver does not think they can continue, but Thomas is determined to reach the station. He pushes the snow away and soon reaches the village where the villagers are very pleased with their tree. The next morning, the Fat Controller congratulates Thomas for his work and lets him know he won't have to wear a snowplow for a while as there are no more available.
