Jack and Norma leave the house for a weekend. Jack leaves a list of chores for the boys to do, but only Kevin takes it seriously, while Wayne adds waxing his car to the list. On Saturday night, Wayne is also going out for the night, and Kevin's friends goad him into having a party at their unoccupied home. It starts out small with just Paul, Chuck, and the guys playing cards, but they quickly grow bored, and opt to invite some girls over. While the plan was to invite one girl per guy, the girls go on to bring siblings and friends over, and the siblings and friends bring more siblings and friends over, and soon the party gets completely out of control.
By morning, the place is trashed, and Kevin is struggling to clean up. Wayne returns, and is amazed to see what has happened, but he refuses to help Kevin clean. It doesn't matter anyway, because their parents arrive home a moment later, much earlier than expected. They are both completely shocked to see the house in its state. Kevin starts to explain, but to his surprise Jack blames Wayne for the mess. To Kevin's further surprise, Wayne accepts blame, and gives the meager apology he always uses when he gets in trouble. Jack seems to accept it, and he and Norma leave Wayne to clean up the mess.
Meanwhile, while Wayne contines to clean up, Kevin does end up washing and waxing Wayne's car, in a mix of surprise and gratitude.
