Tropes in this episode:

  • All Myths Are True: Asgard is revealed to have been an Atlantean continent on Gaea.
  • Awful Truth: Thanks to Dryden's translation of Leon Schezar's journals, Allen finally learns why his father abandoned their family. He is furious that it was, for all intents, due to an infatuation with a strange girl.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Naria and Eriya are ironically just like this to Folken as Merle is to Van.
  • Continuity Nod: Schezarde is still heavily damaged from the invasion of Freid. The Crusade crew is repairing it using spare components provided by Dryden's flagship.
  • Foreshadowing:
    • The Sorcerers mention Dilandau was the recipient of a Fate Alteration experiment.
    • Dornkirk's real name is Isaac, further hinting at his historical identity.
  • History Repeats Itself: Allen, like his father, has become infatuated with a girl from the Mystic Moon — and another Kanzaki to boot.
  • Identical Grandson: For the Funimation Dub, Caitlin Glass voices Yuri Kanzaki in addition to Hitomi. Yuri's character model is also, for all intents, Hitomi's with minor modifications.
  • Put on a Bus: Dilandau is temporarily removed from Folken's oversight due to his current instability.
  • The Reveal: As was hinted during the discovery of the Compact Disc in the Bazaar, there have been previous, recent visits between Earth and Gaea — and one of the visitors was Hitomi's grandmother Yuri. This is also revealed to be why Hitomi's mother wasn't worried about her daughter's disappearance and believed Yukari and Amano's story; theirs matched the one Yuri had told her daughter of her own trip to Gaea years ago.
  • Wham Line: Leon Schezar's recollection of Dornkirk identities him as Isaac and that he comes from the Mystic Moon.
  • Wham Shot:
    • Leon Schezar's traveling companion Issac...was Emperor Dornkirk.
    • The girl Leon Schezar encountered in his travels...was Hitomi's grandmother.
