As the Smurfs prepare for a performance to celebrate Papa Smurf's birthday, Smurfette is visited by an imp who gives her a pair of magical dancing shoes so that she could be the greatest of dancers without putting any effort into it. However, she soon finds out that the dancing shoes come with a cost, that she must now marry the imp so that he could have access to the Treasure of the Ancient Trolls. The Smurfs go after the imp and demand for him to release Smurfette, but he gives them the challenge of going after three difficult-to-obtain items from Dreadful Hollow and returning to his castle before sunrise.
