- Bait-and-Switch: The first Dr. Hypno to attack is actually Zac Meadows, who got bored of retirement... the real Dr. Hypno appears at the end.
- Bouquet Toss: Zac Meadows and Dr. Hypno’s wedding happens off-screen, and in the debriefing, Professor Professor happily mentions that he caught the bouquet, with the flowers still on his head.
- Engineered Heroics: Zac Meadows pretends to be Dr. Hypno so he can come out of retirement and work for U.Z.Z. again.
- Hypno Ray: Dr. Hypno has one built into their chest. It only seems to work on Victor as he's extremely suggestible. When the real Dr. Hypno shows up, their hypno powers work on both Anita and Victor.

- The Reveal: It turns out Zac Meadows was actually pretending to be Dr. Hypno this whole time so he could come out of retirement and relive his glory days. When the real Dr. Hypno shows up, the two fall in love after Dr. Hypno is revealed to be a woman.
- Samus Is a Girl: The real Dr. Hypno is revealed to be a woman, which manages to shock even Zac Meadows, her former rival. They then get married after that.
