Nolan's identity is stolen and he discovers that the thief is an obnoxious ex-financial advisor named Jordan Neil (Seth Green). Jordan has not only stolen Nolan's identity for fake credit cards but has also stolen all of his son's college fund. Nolan tracks him down using a smart watch and proceeds to try to figure out a way to get the money back before his son is kicked out of school. Another criminal kidnaps Jordan back and chops off his hand before Nolan and Harper rescues him. Jordan responds by returning Nolan's money.
Grey and Lopez head to a prison parole meeting where they discuss the dead officer, Rowland, having been drunk the night of his murder. Grey, surprisingly, ends up voting in favor of the man's parole even though it proves fruitless. Meanwhile, back at the station, West is assigned a job to get the station up to code compliance and discovers a missing file that leads to him solving a murder.

- Pet the Dog: Jordan gives Nolan back his money (now a comic book collection) with a written note that it was directly his.
- This Is Unforgivable!: Killing a cop is considered this by the majority of the LAPD. Averted by West in the end.
