Jarod races to rescue a kidnapped boy while dealing with resurfacing memories of his own abduction by the Centre.
This episode contains examples of:
- Car Cushion: Jarod escapes his pursuers from the Centre by jumping out a second-floor window onto the roof of their parked car. He dents the car roof and gives a nasty shock to Broots, who was waiting in the car and holding a cup of hot coffee.
- Dead Person Impersonation: Alomar does a background check on Jarod's current identity, and finds that Jarod borrowed it from someone who's been dead since 1979.
- Dream Within a Dream: Jarod wakes from a nightmare of his abduction as a child; as he catches his breath, he is attacked from behind by an identically-dressed abductor — then he wakes up again.
- Emergency Impersonation: A reclusive businessman is in a traffic accident on his way to a rendezvous with his son's kidnapper. Jarod takes his place at the rendezvous, and then has to sustain the impersonation as negotiations continue, since the kidnappers now believe that he's the businessman, and the man himself is still in hospital in no condition to act on his own behalf.
