Bubbles wants to prove she's responsible enough to own a dog, so she takes a job as a dog sitter. The dog, a pug named Paulie, keeps stopping wanting stuff which Bubbles grudgingly given into. But when Paulie stops to rob a jewelry store, Bubbles steps in, only to have the dog, master criminal Pug-Faced Paulie, tell her she's now an accomplice.

- The Cameo: The Gangreen Gang (except for Ace) appears very briefly in a flashback.
- Comes Great Responsibility: Bubbles tries to prove this during her walk with Paulie, but the dog is seemingly bent on her buying him stuff, including a three-piece suit and hat. Bubbles goes into a lecture about how she's putting her foot down on Paulie's constant wants, unaware that Paulie is holding up a jewelry store.
- Name Drop: Paulie is chewing up Blossom's Sally Ride moon slippers.
- Shout-Out: At the beginning, the comic strip "Smarmaduke" is an obvious take on Brad Anderson's "Marmaduke."
- The introduction of Pug-Faced Paulie's gang shouts out to the rogue's gallery from the Daffy Duck cartoon "The Great Piggy Bank Robbery."
