Chapter 6: Summer Stories

A series of short stories shows how the girls spend their summer and more.

Tropes That Appear In This Chapter:

A Day in the Limelight: Anne is the focus of the first two stories, then Sasha stars in the third, Marcy shines in the fourth and the last one focuses on Sprig and Maddie.
Foreshadowing: Maddie mentions that she just finished an apprenticeship with her magic teacher, who will be taking on three new students soon.
Parents as People: Sasha's father gives her well-meaning advice about using flattery to form relationships and mentions giving donations to the school to ensure they go easy on her, but in doing so unintentionally undermines her confidence in her own abilities and she misinterprets his advice on business relationships as advice on personal relationships.
Out of Focus: Luz doesn't appear in any of the even-numbered segments.
Take That!: Luz and Marcy's first review for their new fanfic merely says "Cool chapter, please continue." This causes Marcy to rant about reviewers not describing what exactly they liked.
Ugh seriously that's it?!" asked Marcy in frustration. "You seriously couldn't think of anything better to say than 'cool chapter'? How about "why did you like the story?" "What could use improvement?" "Do you like the set-up for this?" Seriously, nothing else?! WHY DID YOU EVEN BOTHER TYPING A REVIEW IF THAT'S ALL YOU WERE GOING TO SAY!"

Wham Episode: Amphibia is introduced in the final story, "Welcome to Wartwood", and Maddie is revealed to have studied magic under a teacher taking on three apprentices soon.
