- Faint in Shock: Parodied. The Critic pretends to do a whole overwrought, nail-biting reaction to the tension at the Judge's trial. When the verdict is read, he throws his hand up to his forehead, and collapses face down.
- Mondegreen Gag: Invoked. The Critic mishears "I am the law!" as numerous phrases.
- Tempting Fate: When Dredd and Fargo meet up again saying "Together again," NC says that those two words are basically Death's ringtone. Then Mean Machine stabs Fargo.
