- Anvilicious: In-Universe, the Critic calls out the film on how its whole "humanity sucks and is destroying the environment" message is ridiculously ham-fisted, even making fun of it by having a patronizing finger wave at the audience to really drive this home.
- Cliché Storm: In-Universe, this is a problem the Critic has with the film. It's a gorgeous spectacle, but the entire plot is just note-for-note like other films of its kind such as Dances with Wolves and Pocahontas, even saying that the characters are almost the same as the ones in those movies.
- Vindicated by History: This is the Critic's stance on the film In-Universe. He originally loathed the movie when it was first released because he thought that after its success, its cliché style of storytelling was what later films for years to come would try to replicate. Later on and seeing that his fears were unfounded, coupled with the main things taken from Avatar were the impressive advancements in 3D technology, he softened his stance on it.
- Visual Effects of Awesome: In-Universe, the Critic praises Avatar's visuals and effects, finding that even over a decade later, they still hold up greatly.
- Worldbuilding: Discussed. The Critic finds the world building of Pandora to be rather lacking, as despite being a feast for the eyes, much of their flora, fauna, and inhabitants come across less as unique aspects that make the world feel special, and more like stuff you'd already find in the normal world but just with a different appearance to it.
