  • The Cameo: During the credits, various other Muppets appear.
  • Chuck Cunningham Syndrome: This was Wally's first and only appearance.
  • Dark Horse Victory: Who wins Miss Mousey? Droop, on a motorcycle!
  • David vs. Goliath: Kermit fights the aptly-named Big Mouse for Miss Mousey's hand.

    • Unlike the next pilot or main series, this special takes place in a more domestic setting.
    • Instead of Kermit, a Muppet named Wally is the host.
    • Crazy Harry is named Crazy Donald after his inspiration, Don Sahlin; bizarrely, he would retain this name in the German dub for the first two seasons of the series. Like in season one of the series, he is performed by John Lovelady instead of Jerry Nelson.
  • Love Epiphany: George has one when Mia helps him realize that there is something he loves; his mop!
