* TakeThatScrappy: Bunga gets one from everybody, primarily Simba. Even Kion admits Bunga's an idiot, and given their friendship, that is saying something.

* AdultFear: PlayedForLaughs. For much of the episode, since it revolves around Simba and Bunga getting lost in tunnels, but they are perfectly fine and Timon and Pumbaa's fears are played for utter comedy.

* WhatTheHellHero: Simba and Bunga consistently give this to each other, primarily Simba.

* NotSoDifferent: Bunga and Simba both love singing "Hakuna Matata." They also both love Timon and Pumbaa. It turns out to be just enough to stop their bickering.

* DudeWheresMyRespect: Simba eventually has to ''forcefully'' remind Bunga that he is the ''king of the Pridelands'' and can't be spoken to like he's Kion, especially when Bunga throws in a "Duh" at the end of a suggestion.

He's full of ideas on how to solve his and Simba's predicament (one of which nearly gets them killed), dismissive of anything Simba says, and refuses to act like they're in any kind of real danger. It's not until he throws in a ''"duh"'' that Simba loses his patience and reminds him just who he's talking to.

Also, Kiara is a lot more like her original personality, and in her voice, she says attending a concert is something she can live with, which is very much around the lines of what she told her father back in Film One, as well as calling her father daddy. This greatly implies that the SameCharacterButDifferent is actually just a part of her sibling rivalry with Kion, and that when he is not around, it is the same old Kiara we see back in Film Two.

* GettingCrapPastTheRadar: Pumbaa tells Kion he will understand when he has kids of his own, and given he is talking to a kid, along with this being a preschool aimed show, is quite blatant. Its likely the censors missed it due to the fact that Pumbaa said it in a sad tone.
