- Amusing Injuries: When Rebecca starts having contractions, Sophia offers her hand for Rebecca to hold during her next contraction. However, the pain from said contraction causes Rebecca to squeeze Sophia's hand instead, causing Sophia pain as the result:

- Granola Girl: The midwife at the birthing center is one of these. After Dorothy expresses some reservations about the place, she snidely replies "You're a meat-eater, aren't you?"

Rose: (entering) This place makes me want to run out and get pregnant!
- New Baby Episode: This episode is all about Blanche's pregnant daughter, Rebecca, coming to Miami to have her baby. Blanche spends much of the episode uneasy because Rebecca doesn't have a husband to support her, and disagrees with Rebecca's decision to deliver her baby at a birthing center. Rebecca changes her mind when she visits the birthing center and hears the painful screams of the women in labor, and she has her baby girl, Aurora, in a hospital room, with Blanche by her side.
