"Twice In A Lifetime" is an episode in the fifth season of The Golden Girls.
Rose's old boyfriend Buzz, a musician with Spike Jones' band, shows up and wants to get back together with her. Meanwhile Sophia is living a wilder lifestyle, of which Dorothy does not approve.

- Absence Makes the Heart Go Yonder: According to Rose, she and Buzz were romantically serious before Buzz left with his band members. Some time afterwards, Charlie entered her life, they started dating, and the rest is history.
- First Love: Buzz was actually the first guy Rose was romantically serious with, but that didn't happen once he left with his band members and Charlie was acquainted with her after she waited for some time without Buzz returning due to his job.
- Non-Indicative Name: One of the things Sophia says to Dorothy that she did on the previous night while "living it up" was meeting a cute guy named "Mr. Big" in a strip club. Blanche, hearing her, reacts with unimpressed expression.Blanche: I know that guy. It's just a stage name.
- Planet of Steves: Buzz comes from a family where all the men are named "Buzz" to avoid confusion. Naturally, this serves to only cause confusion:Rose: Come on, Buzz!Buzz: [looks around] You're kidding, Buzz is here, too?
