A Plot: After Barry and Adam make an agreement to not let a girl come between them, Barry betrays Adam and lets Erica and Lainey in their newly-formed rock band, only for Adam to quit and Barry to be voted out of the group, leading to a Battle of the Bands between the genders.
B Plot: Murray learns how much their marriage vow renewal means to Beverly.
- Battle of the Bands: Combined with Battle of the Sexes. After Barry and Adam form a rival band, they go against Erica and Lainey's band to see which one is best.
- Waxing Lyrical: After watching the Royal Wedding, Beverly wants to renew her vows. Murray doesn't want to come up with new ones, so he steals the lyrics to the Family Ties theme song and passes them off as his own. Bev eventually finds out and gets back at him by using the lyrics to The Facts of Life, providing a Title Drop in the process.
