Will’s been feeling homesick so to cheer him up, Aunt Viv suggests that he invites one of his friends. This friend is named Ice Tray. To Aunt Viv’s shock, he and Hilary fall in love with each other.
This episode contains examples of the following tropes:
- Bait-and-Switch Tyrant: The strict Phil, who has clashed with Will from the very beginning, is far more relaxed about Hilary and Tray's fling, viewing it as nothing more than that, while the normally loving and laid-back Vivian flips out, a complete reversal of what would be expected, something Will himself states.
- One-Shot Character: Ice Tray. Despite being a friend of Will and a love interest to Hilary, he never appeared in the show again.
- Shout-Out: Will introduces Ice Tray to Carlton by asking “Remember how Daffy Duck has a little brother”?
