* RetGone: Discussed. Barry threatens to kill himself, which would eliminate the chain of events that create Savitar and start this whole mess. Time Remnant Barry counters cause and effect's a tricky thing. He reminds Barry that Eddie Thawne tried this two Seasons ago to stop the Reverse-Flash, but that didn't keep Eobard down for long, did it? So, there's no guarantee Barry trying this will permanently stop Savitar either.

* BondVillainStupidity: Zigzagged with Savitar when he monologues to Barry in the prologue. He reveals his backstory and the catalysts for becoming Savitar (the death of Iris). But he also carefully withholds any details about the second catalyst for his transformation to ensure Barry can't do anything to stop him (and could also be justified as they're in a time loop).

* HonorBeforeReason: Barry, Cisco, and Julian just let Killer Frost waltz out of S.T.A.R. Labs and go back to Savitar instead of putting her in the Pipeline. It's clear they want her to come back to Team Flash of her own desire.

* ExactWords: Cisco realizes the message from the future the Legends discovered in the ''Waverider'' was this. The message warned not to try Barry Allen. That message ''was'' technically true; it just never specified ''which'' Barry Allen.

He reminds Barry that Eddie Thawne tried this two Seasons ago to stop the Reverse-Flash; didn't keep Eobard down for long, did it? So, there's no guarantee Barry trying this will permanently stop Savitar either.

* MotiveRant: The episode starts out with one from Savitar, which essentially comes down to him having the CloningBlues due to being a time remnant.

* CloningBlues: Savitar reveals that he is a time remnant created by Future Barry to fight Savitar. However he survived the fight and was subsequently rejected by Barry and the rest of Team Flash. This breaks this time remnant Barry and ends with him JumpingOffTheSlipperySlope and becoming Savitar himself.

* AmnesiaEpisode: After Barry learns that one of his time remnants is Savitar, Cisco builds a machine to prevent Barry from forming new memories, so Savitar will not know their next move. This however ends up wiping out Barry’s entire memory, leading to a [[JustifiedTrope literal]] ForgotAboutHisPowers.

* {{Adorkable}}: Barry in his amnesiac state, not once does he not have a smile on his face.

* JerkassFacade: Killer Frost claims she never loved anyone from Team Flash...only for her blue eyes to briefly change to Caitlin's brown eyes.

Now knowing Savitar's identity, Cisco tries to alter Barry's brain to protect him... only to suffer unintended consequences.

* CringeComedy: Barry's testimony at the hearing--due to his amnesic state and Julian having to feed him his lines.

* JerkassFacade: Killer Frost claims she never loved anyone from Team Flash... only for her blue eyes to briefly change to Caitlin's brown eyes.

** Amnesia!Barry suggests if they could name him ''The Streak'' instead of the Flash, which was an alias for a Jay Garrick {{Expy}} in the {{Franchise/DC Animated Universe}}.

** Cisco thought he could find a way to "mute" Barry's memories so Savitar couldn't use them, only to erase ''all'' of Barry's memories. It also has the effect of wiping out Savitar's memories as well... and Wally's powers since he got them from Savitar. Oddly Killer Frost doesn't revert back to Caitlin (suggesting that Savitar wasn't 100% directly involved with this change).

* PowerIncontinence: Amnesia!Barry undergoes one.
