Timmy wishes he was the funniest person on Earth, but when he tries to warn that a dangerous plant is going to eat Trixie at 12 midnight, no one takes him seriously.

This episode contains examples of:

  • Bittersweet Ending: Timmy is no longer funny and he saves Trixie's life, but she accuses him of killing the plant he gave her and breaks up with him.
  • Didn't Think This Through: Timmy's wish to be the funniest kid on Earth results in people laughing at everything he says. So when he tries to warn Cosmo and Wanda of the plant, they laugh at him because they think it's funny.
  • Exact Words:
    • Timmy wished to be the funniest kid on Earth; this doesn't include galaxies outside Earth, Fairy World especially.
    • Cosmo said the plant was seemingly harmless; it looks harmless, but in reality, is harmful.
    • In the end, Cosmo continues his tour of the galaxy by taking Timmy and Wanda to the planet with almost enough oxygen. Since there was almost enough oxygen to begin with, Timmy and Wanda suffocate, but Cosmo survives somewhat.
  • Helpless with Laughter: Timmy wishes to become the funniest person on Earth. As a result, anyone he talks to immediately starts laughing uncontrollably.
  • Knockout Gas: The seemingly harmless plant showers this all over Trixie to knock her unconscious before it eats her heart.
  • Laser-Guided Amnesia: Trixie likely lost her memory of the true nature of the plant after it knocks her unconscious before eating her heart, as once she wakes up, she only sees the plant's remains and accuses Timmy of killing it rather than praising him for saving her life.
  • Loophole Abuse: Timmy's wish was "to be the funniest kid on Earth". Since Fairy World is not part of Earth, the fairies don't laugh at him, allowing him to unwish the wish.
  • Oh, Crap!: Trixie's reaction to seeing how dangerous the plant is, prior to getting knocked out.
  • Shout-Out: While disguised as a bird, Cosmo gets hit in the head. Dazed, he proceeds to laugh like a certain woodpecker.
  • Skewed Priorities: Trixie cares more about Timmy killing the plant than saving her life from it...and she saw that it was dangerous before she passed out. Justified, as she likely lost her memory when knocked unconscious.
  • Ungrateful Bastard: Timmy saves Trixie, only to get called out by her for killing the plant he gave her.
  • When the Clock Strikes Twelve: The seemingly harmless plant is set to eat Trixie's heart at midnight.
