Original air date: 5/9/2003 (produced in 2002)

Episode number: 31b

Timmy is jealous of his dad's Mid Life Crisis Car, so he wishes he could be the car. Meanwhile, Vicky is trying to retrieve the car so she can sell it to Doug Dimmadome for $10,000.

This episode provides examples of:

  • All for Nothing: Vicky's efforts to steal back the Striker Z to sell it to Doug Dimmadome end up being for naught when it falls off a cliff and ends up destroyed.
    Doug Dimmadome: The dimma-deals dimma-dead.
    Vicky: Dimma-darnit!
  • Mid Life Crisis Car: Timmy's dad is obsessed with the Striker Z, a flashy 1950's styled coupe that's worth a lot of money.
    • The Alleged Car: As flashy as the Striker Z is, it's also a screaming metal death trap, as it lacks various safety features, including airbags and seatbelts.
  • Papa Wolf: When Vicky steals Timmy-as-Striker Z, and his dad hears his calls for help, he assumes that Timmy is stuck inside the car's trunk and goes to save him.
    • At the end of the episode, it's revealed that he doesn't let his son have a ride in the Striker Z due to its lack of safety features.
  • Totally Radical: Lampshaded and parodied twice...
    • After falling while attempting to catch up with the stolen Striker Z, Timmy's dad asks to borrow another kid's scooter and safety equipment...
      Kid: Righteous face-plant, Grandpa!
Timmy's Dad: No time to decipher your hip young lingo, son. But I'd be ever so grateful if I could commandeer your battery-powered transportation vehicle.
      Kid: You mean my scooter?
Timmy's Dad: Whoa, whoa, you've lost me again. I'll also need your safety devices.
      Kid: You mean my helmet?
Timmy's Dad: Work with me, boy!
    • Later, when Timmy's dad catches up to Vicky attempting to sell the Striker Z to Doug Dimmadome on what's left of the borrowed scooter...
      Timmy's Dad: Hold on, dudes!
Doug Dimmadome: Whoa, you lost me there with your hip young lingo, son.
  • Watch the Paint Job: Just as Vicky is about to sell it, the Striker Z falls off a cliff, getting shot up by a whale and then crushed by a hydrolic press.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: As soon as Timmy's dad sees the Striker Z and buys it from Vicky, he abandons his old station wagon, which is never seen again in the episode.
