- Scatterbrained Senior: Beverly Ann is this in the future.
- Screw Politeness, I'm a Senior!: Jo, and even Natalie somewhat because she was kicked out by her daughter who she named Tootie.
- Take That!: To The Golden Girls, which was airing at the same time this show was.
- White-Dwarf Starlet: Tootie has some shades of this, although she's apparently had great success as an actress in the future.
