"Jesus Loves the Little Children" is the third episode of season 1 of The Chosen.
Jesus befriends and teaches the group of children who discover His camp on the outskirts of Capernaum.
This episode provides examples of:
- Friend to All Children: Jesus spends time befriending and teaching group of children before beginning his public ministry.
- Motor Mouth: As Abigail and Joshua approach Jesus' camp, their conversation is more of a monologue as Abby rarely pauses long enough for him to say anything.
- Silly Prayer: Abigail and Joshua hide outside Jesus' camp when they see him giving thanks for his food. His prayer turns into a lighthearted invitation for the children to come out of hiding and introduce themselves.Jesus: Blessed are you, Lord our God, King of the universe, Who gives forth bread from this earth. [Beat] And I pray that if there are ever two children who come visit my home here, that you will give them the courage to say, "Shalom," so that they will know they do not have to remain in hiding. Amen.
