Original airdate: March 3, 2003

The Terrific Talking Tomato: Tigger plays a prank on Rabbit by pretending that one of his tomatoes can talk.

Kessie Flies For A Spell: After an injured Owl reminisces about his glory days as an ace flyer, Kessie decides to put on her own air show to cheer Owl up.

The Teriffic Talking Tomato contains examples of:

  • Actually Pretty Funny: Rabbit, at the end of the episode, comes around to the joke and laughs at the idea of a talking tomato.
  • Ditzy Genius: Humorously, Tigger has become this by the end of the episode thanks to all the reading he had to do.
  • Easily Forgiven: Although Tigger did prank the others by pretending to be a talking tomato, it was ultimately harmless and the other animals let it go. They even admit that him going out of his way to read up so he could answer their questions was a nice thing to do, even if it was part of a prank.
  • No Celebrities Were Harmed: Tigger's voice for the Terrific Talking Tomato is an impersonation of W. C. Fields.
  • Shout-Out: When Tigger is finally discovered, he tries to play it off by saying "Pay no attention to the Tigger behind the vegetable cart!".
  • "Reading Is Cool" Aesop: Moreso than other episodes. To keep up the ruse of being an "all-seeing tomato", Tigger borrows books from Owl's library to study for the other animal's questions. He's shown to be genuinely interested in poetry, science and history, and by the end of it can quote everything he's learned off the top of his head, with the other animals admiring him for it.

Kessie Flies For A Spell contains examples of:

  • Big Damn Heroes: Owl, of all characters, gets one of these. When Kessie starts to falter in her air show and nearly hits the ground, the still-injured Owl rips his sling off and swoops down to catch her.
  • Dangerous Forbidden Technique: The "Stall Out and Pull Up", which describes the letter "L", is stated by Owl to be a difficult technique for beginner flyers. He injures himself when trying to pull it off for Kessie, and when Kessie attempts the same trick during her air show despite Owl's warning, she nearly crashes herself until Owl saves her.
  • Glory Days: Owl considers his days as an ace flyer in an air show troupe to be this. He even keeps a scrapbook dedicated to those memories, which inspires Kessie to put on her own air show for him.
  • Oh, Crap!: Everyone has this reaction when Kessie fails to pull up out of her dive and looks like she's about to hit the ground.
