A New Flame
Having just killed an Angel with her great-grandfather's sniper rifle, Hifumi Togo gets greeted by Joker. Through Oracle's communication, Joker tells the Shogi player that she is close to Awakening to a Persona. Blue light in the distance then catches the Phantom Thief's attention, prompting him to bid farewell to Hifumi before leaving with Oracle to investigate.
Kenzo's newly Awakened Persona, Quasimodo, begins fighting the Shadows in the alley, managing to burn most of them. Before the Shadows can strike back, Mona arrives, defeating them with his wind spell and cutlass. Kenzo only has a moment to process that a "cat creature" was talking before passing out from exhaustion. Just then, Skull shows up, and after Mona explains what happened, the two Thieves decide to bring Kenzo to Tae Takemi's clinic.
After taking notes, Takemi reassures Ren that Kenzo will recover before telling the Thief to head back to his patrol. Following Ren's departure, Takemi examines the golden feather stuck in Kenzo's hand. She then finds herself briefly confronted by what is presumably her Shadow before determining that the golden feather is dangerous.
Finishing his patrol, Ren heads back to his apartment. Upon falling asleep, he finds himself in the Velvet Room, which has changed its appearance since his last visit. After Ren meets up with the other Wild Cards, Minako, Aigis, and Yu, the Velvet Room's denizens task them to continue fighting the Shadows while inspiring hope in the masses. Igor soon mentions that a new Wild Card has Awakened, and as Ren realizes who it is, another person enters the Velvet Room, revealing to be none other than Kenzo.
