Kings of the Highway (No. 108) provides examples of:
- Character Death: Reven Wright is killed by Hitchin in order for Hitchin to cover up her involvement with the Cabal.
- Heroic Seductress: Liz effectively plays this role in picking up an accomplice of the titular gang in a bar in order to get the drop on him.
- Mole in Charge: Laurel Hitchin is revealed to be a part of the Cabal when she shoots Reven to hide the connection between her and Solomon.
- Psychopathic Manchild: Jilly’s behaviour is uncomfortably both sexual and juvenile. She even tries to seductively interrogate Red while playing tea party and threatens him with a knife hidden in a doll.
- Wham Episode: Reven Wright is murdered by Lauren Hitchin, who turns out to be a member of the Cabal. And then both Dembe and Liz are captured by the task force putting Liz at risk of getting assassinated by the Cabal.
