Batman finds himself caught in the middle of a game of one-upmanship between triple-jointed contortionist thief Ragdoll and Catwoman.
Tropes for this episode include:
- Artistic License – Law: After the Cat's Eye emeralds are found, Bruce Wayne takes ownership of them on the grounds that he owns the clocktower they were found in. However, the emeralds are stolen property and thus would probably still be claimed by the family of whoever they belonged to originally.
- Being Good Sucks: Selina does donate the check to charity, albeit it's mentioned she looked extremely reluctant to do so.
- Cape Snag: Ragdoll inflicts a sadistic one on Batman, throwing his cape into a pair of giant gears and effectively forcing him to choose between unmasking and grisly death. Thankfully Catwoman saves him, liking him better as a man of mystery.
- Contortionist: Ragdoll.
- Dating Catwoman: Literally in this case. Unlike most versions, Bruce doesn't figure out Selina's secret identity when they go on a date.
- Exorcist Head: Ragdoll twists his head 180 degrees as an attempt to intimidate Bruce when he tries to stop him from escaping. It (seemingly) works.
- Femme Fatale: Selina attempts to get close to Bruce and get what she wants.
- Irony: Bruce re-opens the old clock tower to bait Catwoman and Ragdoll with the alleged emeralds hidden there. He wasn't counting on the emeralds being real, as Ragdoll happily discovers when he fakes being crushed between the tower's gears.
- Pet the Dog: Catwoman saves Batman, surrenders the emeralds when he asks, and then donates the check amount to charity.
- Sweet and Sour Grapes: After trying to steal the emeralds, Selina gives them up to Batman when he glares at her. After Ragdoll is arrested, Bruce gives Selina the check from the auction for them. He says that he trusts that she will donate it to a charity. She does.
- Villainous Rescue: Catwoman severs the aforementioned Cape Snag, claiming she prefers Batman to keep "his mysterious allure".
