Norb and Dag can't get to sleep. Norb decides since they are now living on their own they can do whatever they want, and decide to stay up all night.

- B-Movie: The first episode where the Beavers are seen watching a really bad B-movie. Specifically, ''The Crawling Spleen".
- Does This Remind You of Anything?: The way Norb and Dag laugh uncontrollably while having tired eyes is analogous to stoner behavior.
- Felony Misdemeanor: Daggett balks at the idea of staying up all night, but Norb talks him into it by saying they can do that "thing" mom would never let them do. In the next scene, we see them doing the heinous act their mother forbade them to do... it's.... prank phone calling.
- Flying Car: A few are seen when Dag and Norb finally go outside.
- Fooled by the Sound: Dag and Norb are watching a B-Movie called "The Crawling Spleen", which features the titular creature making a splashing sound as it approaches. When they turn off the TV, they hear a sound which they think is the spleen in their house, but it turns out it's the sound of their faucet dripping onto a wet sponge.
- Laughing Mad: Happens towards the end, before Daggett notices their clock isn't plugged in.
- Oh, Crap!: Norb and Dag have stayed up WAY past their bedtime, to the point where they open their door to see that decades or centuries have passed, as there's a futuristic city with flying cars in front of them.
- Sanity Slippage: Happens to the Beavers the longer they stay up.
- Screw The Rules, WE Make Them!: Now that Norb and Dag are on their own...That doesn't stop their mother for scolding them for staying up past their bedtime.
- Shout-Out: Norb and Dag sitting on the couch laughing could be a reference to Beavis And Butthead
- Space Whale Aesop: Don't stay up past your bedtime, or else you'll stay up so late that you'll end up in the future.
- That Poor Cat: A cat gets hit during the pillow fight. Why there's a cat hanging around inside the beavers' home is never explained.
