* BaitAndSwitch: One vignette is an educational video-like segment with a narrator scientifically explaining the chemical reactions of LoveAtFirstSight between a male and a female subject. At the end they're seen hooking up with members of the same sex that have been off screen the whole time, to the narrator's moderate surprise before accepting the fact that love has no set rules [[DancePartyEnding and ends the segment with the lovers dancing]]. Another segment features the cheese guy holding a sandwich and describing how he feels, but then it turns out he wants to talk to Karen rather than describing the sandwich.

** Richard's attempts at hugging people gets him arrested and tried in court for alleged sexual harassment (hugging Felicity) child molestation (hugging Billy), and assaulting a police officer (hugging the Hamburger Cop), then put in jail where he's punched into the hospital by his cellmates (though his family does visit him in the hospital). The music and how Richard happily hugs people despite the consequences is what makes it funny.

* IncurableCoughOfDeath: Mrs. Robinson coughs several times before she is sent to the hospital. Played for laughs, in that Margaret faked being terminally ill just so she can prank her husband.
