Having crash-landed in the Great Desert, Teddy and his friends search for a new energy source to power the airship. They discover that coal can be use as fuel and mine for it. Unfortunately, it turns out that the coal belongs to the Mudblups, so they capture Teddy, Gimmick and Grubby. Teddy and Gimmick befriend Arin, a Prince of Grundo who is searching for his sister, Princess Aruzia.
This episode provides examples of:
- Achilles' Heel: When the bright light from Louie's camera blinds a Mudblup, Arin tells Teddy and Gimmick that the Mudblups detest bright lights.
- Chekhov's Gun: Early on in the episode, the light from Louie's camera blinds the Mudblups while he's filming Teddy, Gimmick and Arin. The trio later use lanterns to blind the Mudblups while searching for Grubby.
- Felony Misdemeanor: Teddy, Gimmick and Grubby steal coal from the Mudblup mines, which causes them to be captured.
- Oh, Crap!:
- The Mudblups after being blinded by Louie's camera.
- Teddy, Gimmick and Arin when the ground collapses on top of them.
