Recap / The 100 Girlfriends Who Really Really Really Really Really Love You Ch 146

Go To

Continuing from last chapter, Hakari expresses shock that Rentarou proposed to Karane. Karane is surprised that she knows, not realizing that she was the one who told them.

Luckily for her, Rentarou arrives to offer an explanation. He reveals that in his proposal to Karane, he told her that he loves and wants to marry all of them. Karane protests that he can't actually do that, but Rentarou is confident that they can as long as they're determined. There is one thing that he needs to take into account, however: How the rest of the family feels about it. He's fine with marrying everyone, but if any of the others don't want that, then he doesn't want it, either. That's why he's spent so much time building the family up as an ideal to make everyone happy.

As it turns out, Rentarou was actually listening to the previous chapter's conversation so he knew what everyone wanted. Rentarou's Family is Karane's ideal, and after spending so much time together, she knew the others felt the same. Not a single one of the girlfriends wants a two-person relationship over being part of Rentarou's Family.

Rentarou thanks them, and offers a bouquet of four-leaf clovers as he asks them all to marry him. The girls are all stunned, but accept with warm smiles, moving Rentarou to tears. Before long, everyone is thrilled and raring to get married, even if it's just pretend for now. Kishika protests that they aren't even sure if they want to go for Western or Japanese style wedding dresses. Hahari suggests both: Half of them wear wedding kimonos and half wear Western wedding dresses. Which one will Rentarou wear?

Half-and-half, as it turns out: Half a tuxedo on one side, half a kimono on the other side.

Mei officiates for Rentarou and Mai before switching back to her wedding kimono. The bouquet toss accidentally turns into a bridal toss with a blissful Shizuka flying in the air. Momoha is already drunk when she suggests a toast. Kishika cuts the cake in half with her bamboo sword. The cake is swiftly devoured by Kurumi. Uto sings, followed by Hakari giving a speech thanking Hahari for raising her.

The final page of the chapter has everyone forming the kanji for "marriage".
