Iku announces plans to go see Pa-On: The Bludge and invites Rentarou and the other girls to join her. Most of the other girls are too scared, and the ones that aren't are either too young or too busy to see the film, meaning Rentarou will be Iku's only company on the outing.
On the night of the date, Iku shows up wearing a dress, to Rentarou's surprise. The film proves a good scare, and after Iku trips over her skirt's hem, she suggests visiting a batting center. There, they find a bat autographed by Iku's favorite baseball player being offered as a prize for hitting a moving target. Despite such a challenge not promoting any applicable baseball skills, Rentarou decides to try for the prize alongside another couple.
The first couple had been trying for several days to win the prize, and Iku is hindered by her dress. The rival girlfriend's attempts at trash talking only encourage Iku, and the rival boyfriend challenges Rentarou to see who's girlfriend can cheer them on better. The two men go on for hours, but Rentarou doesn't tire out nearly as quickly as his opponent, enabling him to hit the target.
As Rentarou collapses from his efforts, the other girl has a meltdown over losing the prize, prompting Iku to offer the prize bat as a consolation prize. As the couple thanks them and heads off, Iku affirms that her love for Rentarou is more important than an autographed bat. Rentarou reciprocates that he loves Iku as her usual self, and Iku carries Rentarou out of the batting center.
