As the Dai-Gurren makes its way towards Teppelin, Nia decides to cook for the Team. Because Rossiu has taken ill, Yoko decides to take his place piloting Gurren. The Dai-Gurren is being attacked by a fleet of flying Gunmen under the command of Cytomander the Swift. Gurren Lagann manages to acquire a flying Gunmen to use as wings, thus taking the fight to the sky. Viral in his Enkidu strikes causing Yoko to fall, but Simon manages to save her, however Gurren Lagann ends up crashing on Cytomander's flying fortress Dai Gunten.When Viral arrives he is surprised that Kamina, whom he has a grudge against, is nowhere to be found. Simon tells Viral that Kamina was killed in the fight against Thymilph. Simon in Gurren Lagann manages to give Viral in his Gunmen a solid fight which causes heavy damage to the Dai Gunten, much to Cytomander's displeasure. The Dai Gurren manages to land a few kicks at the Dai Gunten, dislodging a levitation device which the Dai Gurren grabs. Simon and Yoko escape as do Viral and Cytomander.
While Yoko recovers in the infirmary, she and Leeron learn that what made Rossiu ill was, in fact, Nia's cooking, but it's too late: All who have eaten Nia's food end up ill - except for Simon and Boota.
At Teppelin, the Spiral King decides to reveal something to Viral . . .
