- Eviler than Thou: When Doomqest appears, Dregg is clearly intimidated by him. When Dregg tries to flee, he effortlessly abducts Dregg's ship into his own. By the end of the episode, Dregg flees the Earth when he thinks that the planet succumbs to the Dark Realm.
- Mineral MacGuffin: The Vortex Crystal is a Power Crystal that Dregg plans to use in his conquest of Earth. Doomquest comes to Earth to take it for himself to merge his dimension with ours.
