- Faux Affably Evil: Lord Dregg's plan involves publicly introducing himself to the people of New York as a benevolent alien there to bring humanitarian aid, using his molecular converter as a water-purifier as a demonstration. It's all one big lie of course, convincing the people of New York to give him a new lair where he can formulate his Evil Plans.
- Internal Reveal: During the climax of the episode, the Turtles learn that Carter is the yellow humanoid that keeps saving them out of nowhere.
- Leeroy Jenkins: While the Turtles manage to keep Dregg's goons from stealing the Proton Accelerator, it's Carter's impatience that leads to the enemy getting away.
