The Titans volunteer to dogsit Krypto the Superdog while Superman is on vacation, but Robin worries that the others will slack off and not take the responsibility seriously.
- Laser-Guided Karma: The episode ends with Robin and a back-to-good, Suddenly Speaking (without a voice modulator) Krypto addressing the audience to state the importance of proper pet care. It then pans over to the other Titans, whose irresponsibility caused the plot, getting attacked by other animals they're failing to wrangle.
- Toilet-Drinking Dog Gag: The Title Drop comes from Robin noticing Krypto drinking toilet water, which is "bad dog" behavior. When Krypto goes into supervillainy, it also ends up saving the day, with Cyborg transforming himself into a toilet that traps Krypto when he tries to drink from it.
- Toxic Friend Influence: Before being left with the Titans, Krypto is shown to be perfectly obedient to Superman. After a few hours with the Titans, despite Robin being serious about the responsibility, the other Titans encourage Krypto to do things like scoot his butt on the floor and eat stakes whenever, eventually leading to Krypto turning into a bad dog that runs away. When the Titans track him down, he's becomes an outright supervillain with a fire hydrant-shaped lair and a voice modulator to communicate how he's going to make the most of his newfound appreciation of lawlessness by overthrowing humanity.
- Twin Switch: At the end of the episode, since they had to throw the real Krypto into one of Raven's portals to stop his evil plan, they paint Beast Boy white and try to pass him off as the original to Superman. It works until the "No Animals were harmed in the making of this episode" disclaimer, at which point Beast Boy runs past while Superman shoots at him with his laser vision, and the disclaimer gains the addendum of "(Except for Beast Boy)".
