Doomsday is set to arrive, and the Titans are worried, but when he does show up, he turns out to not be as bad as he's made out to be.
This episode contains examples of:
- Badass Adorable: Doomsday maintains his standard appearance, but his voice is that of a small child and he just wants to have friends.
- Evil All Along: After claiming that he's just misunderstood early in the episode, it turns out in the end that Doomsday was planning to kill Superman from the start, though in Doomsday's defense, he had it coming.
- Foreshadowing: One of the reasons Doomsday says he wants to befriend the Titans is because becoming friends with them means that the other superheroes will "let their guard down" and trust him. That is oddly ominous for someone claiming to be Not Evil, Just Misunderstood, and it turns out he's Evil All Along in the end.
- Laser-Guided Karma: Doomsday gets revenge on Superman for destroying his house.
- Nightmare Face: After befriending Doomsday, the Titans are able to get a whole bunch of free stuff like seats in a movie theater or money from an ATM just by having Doomsday roar and make a scary face at people/things.
- Not Evil, Just Misunderstood: Doomsday claims that he's never really done anything wrong, with the Justice League beating him up and tearing down his home just because he looks scary and can't control fire coming out of him when he's upset. This turns out to be a lie.
- Tampering with Food and Drink: Doomsday turns out to be Evil All Along when, after the Titans convince Superman to attend Doomsday's party and make amends, Doomsday gets revenge by feeding him a slice of Kryptonite-flavored cake.
- Unwitting Pawn: By befriending Doomsday and convincing Superman he's trustworthy, the Titans become unwitting accomplices in Doomsday's plan to destroy Superman.
- Vocal Dissonance: Despite being a monstrous brute that towers over the Titans, Doomsday has the voice of a child.
- Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds: What Doomsday turns out to be, except not really.
