- Killed Off for Real: Dominic's ghost does this to a Midi guard, Richard Peyter, leaving nothing but his skeleton.
- Mind Rape: Dominic's ghost does this to a Nor'easter guard, Charlie Green. Exactly what he did is unknown, but the most popular theory is that the guard was shown a preview of World War II.
- Police Are Useless: Surprisingly subverted, as the police do believe James when he tells of his encounter, but can't do anything because "How can we arrest a ghost?"
