Chapter 111: Afternoon

Akihiko startles Chie at her desk and asks her for a favor. Noting she was the one who handled the report on Shiho's attempted suicide and the follow-up interviews, he says that a Shujin teacher had confessed crimes to the entire student body. Remembering Naoto's suspicions, Chie realizes it's Kamoshida, and Akihiko asks her to interview him. He expresses confidence that she'll surprise a lot of people with how far she goes, and though his superiors might be upset at him deferring the work, he's working on an important project. At Chie's pressing, he admits he's going after Kaneshiro, though he's not on the case and is keeping it under wraps because he suspects that the man has police contacts. Chie promises to keep his secret, and Akihiko raises no objection to Naoto joining her.

Chapter 112: After School

The Thieves reflect on how Kamoshida confessed everything, none of them happier than Ann, who shouts their victory to Shiho. They agree to celebrate by selling the medal and spending the money on food, and as Nanako says she's going home to Inaba for most of Golden Week, they agree to go on Children's Day. Ann leaves to tell Shiho, and Ryuji heads home. Ren and Nanako make to talk, but Ren grows nervous when he sees a text from someone [Takemi] and rushes off.

Left alone, Nanako looks over the plants and reflects on the adventure, feeling unsettled as though this was the beginning, not the end. Reflecting that her Yasogami uniform was destroyed in the final battle, she takes the one part she didn't throw away, the scarf, and ties it to the fence on the roof where Shiho had jumped before heading home.

Chapter 113: Evening

Chie is left bewildered as Kamoshida confesses everything, going through several boxes of Kleenex, several gallons of water, and several lawyers as he lists countless crimes for six hours straight. Naoto remains silent the whole time, and when they're driving off, she expresses her bewilderment at Kamoshida's sudden but, by all accounts, utterly earnest change of heart. She shows Chie one of the calling cards, Chie reasoning that she thinks it's connected to the mental shutdowns and, she hesitates to add, the Midnight Channel. Though Naoto draws the similarities to their own experiences in Inaba, Chie protests that they've verified countless times that the Midnight Channel has been gone for ten years. Naoto points out that Teddie has been missing for two years, but can only theorize that he may be capable of activating it, having no solid information to go by. The two head off for beef bowls, to Chie's delight.

Chapter 114: Evening

Nanako finishes packing before texting Ren, who declines her doing anything for him in Inaba and says he'll be fine while she's gone. She calls him and asks how he feels about the heist, and he admits to sharing her unsettled feelings and wanting do the whole thing all over again. Though Nanako thinks it's dangerous, she agrees that there's nothing wrong in pursuing their goal of changing evil hearts. Ren is determined to keep going, since he made a deal with Mona, and while they're not sure if Ryuji or Ann will join them, Nanako eagerly agrees to go with him. They say their goodbyes.
