Prevented from recharging at any of the stars along Destiny's preset flight path, the crew decide on a desperate gamble involving the stasis pods.

- Heroic Sacrifice: There are enough stasis pods for all the crew bar one. Eli volunteers to stay awake to repair the last one within 3 months before the life support powers down, but it is heavily implied he believes he cannot do it, and is sacrificing his space in a pod for someone else.
- Human Popsicle: The crew (except Eli) uses the stasis pods to survive the trip to the next galaxy.
