This episode contains examples of:
- Dislikes the New Guy: Sir Handel is rude to Rusty for being a diesel, which stems of Diesel insulting him and Skarloey earlier, but comes around after feeling bad about the accident with the trucks.
- Fantastic Racism: Sir Handel is prejudiced against diesels after encountering Diesel and is rude to Rusty. He soon repents of this.
- My God, What Have I Done?: Sir Handel is speechless when the runaway trucks (with the exception of one) had crashed into Rusty whose trucks had blocked the line.
- Runaway Train: To pay Sir Handel out for bumping them too hard, the trucks breakaway from him and one truck, which leads to them crashing into Rusty.
