Markai Durham is 16 years old from Florida and is currently pregnant by her boyfriend, James Worsham. She has ambitions of becoming a veterinarian and has raised her younger sister, Samarra for a while. In 2009, Markai gave birth to her daughter, Za'Karia Sanari and the remainder of the episode focuses on Markai finding out James had been cheating on her.
Markai did appear on an MTV special called No Easy Decision which followed her and James' decision to have an abortion in 2010. Neither have appeared on any Teen Mom spin-offs. The couple are no longer together. In 2013, Markai was planning to adopt a young boy named George but this never came through. She married Christopher Anderson in 2015 however they have since separated. Markai gave birth to her second daughter, Zi'Amarra Grace Elise in 2018 and her third daughter, Zuree was born in 2020.
James has since married his girlfriend, Orleana and they have a child together.
