Tropes

  • Adaptational Name Change: From the Star Sisters to the Star Siblings due to Jewlstar's Gender Flip.
  • The Atoner: Glimmer apologizes to Bow by accepting her mistakes with her past actions and how they hurt Bow.
Glimmer: Look, I know you're still mad at me. Maybe you'll be mad at me for a really long time. I deserve it. And maybe...maybe we'll...maybe we'll never be friends like we used to be. But I'm not going to stop trying to make it better. I made a mistake with the Heart of Etheria. I should have listened to you, and I'm sorry. You get to be mad, for as long as you need to be. But I'm not going anywhere. And when you're ready, I'll be here.
  • Bad Impressionists: Swift Wing's nightly broadcast to Adora involves him doing impressions of the other characters — including a very bad impersonation of Shadow Weaver that includes King Micah scolding her like she's a misbehaving puppy.
Swift Wind: [as Shadow Weaver] Perhaps we should use magic to discover Horde Prime's true motivations.
Swift Wind: [as Frosta] Oh, not this again!
Swift Wind: [as Micah] No. Bad Shadow Weaver. Bad.
Swift Wind: [as Shadow Weaver] But magic, magic, magic, power, power, power, blah, blah, blah."
  • Brought Down to Badass: Adora, who currently has no powers, fights the three Star Siblings, who have robotic enhancements, all by herself to a standstill, and Adora was holding back.
  • Decomposite Character: The Star Sisters were mentioned and briefly cameoed in the Princess Prom episode of the first season. The Star Siblings — while based on the same set of characters from the original She-Ra — are otherwise completely different.
  • Eyebrow Waggle: When Entrapta says she wants some quality time with Mara's ship, she waggles her eyebrows suggestively before pulling out a bunch of power tools.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: When Adora briefly taps into her She-Ra powers to hold up the collapsing cave, her new form can be briefly seen reflected in the crystals.
  • Fetch Quest: The main plot of the episode is Adora, Bow, and Glimmer are searching for a fuel source for the ship that has run low, working together with the Star Siblings, who are also looking for the fuel. While on the quest Bow and Glimmer deal with their feelings and Adora thinks about Catra.
  • Finishing Each Other's Sentences: The Siblings often lapse into half-sentences that the others will continue, sometimes they even just skip around not really ever finishing an idea since the others already know.
  • Go into the Light: Parodied. When Adora falls down a pit, we have this gem:
Adora: I think I see a light. [cheerful] I'm gonna go towards it!
Bow: [panicked] DON'T GO TOWARDS THE LIGHT!
Adora: [annoyed] It's not that kind of light.
  • Let's You and Him Fight: Adora and the siblings briefly scuffle before they can confirm that neither works for Horde Prime. Adora lampshades the whole time the fight is pointless.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Glimmer is horrified when she realizes that by inadvertently bringing Horde Prime to Etheria in her attempt to use the Heart to wipe out the Horde, she might have sealed Etheria's fate in becoming a barren rock like the planet that they're stranded on.
  • Noodle Incident: The Star Siblings mention several past adventures that they've had, Finishing Each Other's Sentences before we hear the whole story.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: The Star Siblings want the fuel so they can get as far away from Horde Prime as possible.
