The episode begins with Will in bed with Riley. Will begins visiting Whispers while Whispers is testing a MindControlDevice on a lobotomized sensate. A memory of Angelica blames herself for the neural grafts; a flashback shows her questioning their development with Whispers, who reassured her with a kiss. Will/the lobotomized sensate slit the throat of a [[GasMaskMooks Gas Mask Mook]]. Riley wakes up and comforts Will.

Nomi and Amanita visit an anthropologist professor with Grace under the pretense of Nomi working on a thesis. The anthropologist dismisses Kolovi's theory of ''Homo sensorium'', but notes that she doesn't have a physical record to convince her that it exists.

Lito and Dani pressure Hernando into coming to Lito's film premier, despite his reluctance. While Lito arrives at the premier of his film to harsh questioning over his sexuality, Capheus is confronted by a reporter who accuses him of glorifying violence and adulation of a white man (Van Damme) over his fellow Kenyans. The two visit with each other and the entire cluster to give a speech about how movies inspired them as children and why the interviewer isn't really trying to understand them.

Capheus and Zakia eat together and contrast their worldviews.

Will visits Whispers watching horses with his wife, but is unable to extract any personal information before Whispers takes his blockers. When Will refuses to eat, Riley visits Kala, who examines Will and confesses that they cannot keep drugging him for much longer. When questioned about her progress, Nomi notes that they need something more concrete than what they currently have. While the rest of the cluster questions how much longer Will can continue, Wolfgang tells Riley not to give up on Will.

Kala and Rajan continue to develop their marriage, as Rajan's father prepares to take a renewed role in politics despite his assassination attempt.

Nomi and Amanita visit Professor Kolovi at the University of Chicago, giving a lecture on how HumansAreTheRealMonsters (with regards to the extinction of other hominids). Kolovi speculates that the development of language gave humans the ability to lie. When approached after class, Kolovi evades their questions, but does identify Whispers as someone he knows. Afterwards, Amanita concedes that Kolovi had a point about humans lying, as she can't tell if he's sweet and forgetful or an extremely practiced liar.

Riley feeds Will skyr immediately prior to a visit from Whispers. Will tries to deduce Whispers' location via SherlockScan, but is somewhat put off when Whispers removes the electrical outlet from the wall and claims his outfit and the whole room was an elaborate fake. Whispers turns the tables and tries to deduce Will's location, noting the sound of the sea, Icelandic medication labels, and [[ClueEvidenceAndASmokingGun a specific brand of skyr not exported from Iceland]]. Riley sedates Will and goes outside, revealing that Will and Riley have been in the Netherlands the whole time and that Whispers fell for their Icelandic distractions. Riley visits her father, who has smuggled her Icelandic supplies. Gunnar is concerned for Riley, but trusts her.
