  • Foreshadowing:
    • Zahab and Shelinda lie to Bucrates that Daitanix is shaking due to stormy weather, the scholar not buying it as he learns the Demon Beast is rotting and that Zahab intends to sacrifice his niece's soul jewel to revive Daitanix if she dies in battle against the Gingaman. It is only after Iliess's death that Bucrates learns the reason that he was lied to was because Zahab knew the truth of Budoh's frame-up and the surviving Balban members no longer trusted him and on top of that, Illiess had long outlived her usefulness and whether she won or not, they would've killed her all the same.
    • During the mecha fight, notice that while Gingaoh manages to get back on its feet, Bull Taurus does not. This becomes important in the following episode.

  • Resurrective Immortality: Iliess reveals that even if she was destroyed, she will not die due to her soul jewel remaining. And with it, Bucrates can perform a ceremony to ressurect her. A shame that doesn't happen.
  • Rule of Symbolism: Bucrates attempts to revive Iliess, but is wounded with a blade to the back by Zahab while Batobas permanently kills Iliess. In a sense, Bucrates is stabbed in the back by the Balban.
  • Spot the Imposter; When Ryouma is confronted by an illusion of Yuuta, he quickly sees that the latter emits no shadow and destroys it with a Mane of Fire.
